Recalling the development undertaken by the party when it was in power, Naidu said, “It was under the TDP’s rule that urban local bodies in the State were given a proper shape. The TDP government had focused on provision of basic civic amenities to people in all urban areas. In the last 10 years of the Congress rule, urban local bodies were grossly neglected and left to stink.”

He also promised to ensure proper sanitation and hygiene as well as development of green spaces.

“TDP will focus on improving the mass transport system and will introduce Metro Rail services in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. Efforts will be made to launch MMTS services. Focus will also be laid on alternative sources of energy and will provide uninterrupted power supply by going in for solar power and other sources,” the TDP chief said.
