Vizianagaram: On the fifth day of the Road Show in Vizianagaram more than one thousand activists belonging to Congress and Telugu Desam from various villages in Mentada mandal joined the YSR Congress party during the tour in Bobbili assembly constituency on Tuesday.

YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy addressed a public meeting at Saluru in the evening reiterating his promises of signing five crucial files which would change the future course of the State.

He exhorted people to decide who should be the chief minister of the State since the elections would be held in 40 days. “The person who would remain forever in the hearts of people should be elected as chief minister,” he said.

He said that all belt shops would be closed and there would be only one liquor shop in each constituency. Flaying the former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, Jagan said that the TDP chief was interested only in votes and seats. “Chandrababu has been extending senseless promises fearing that this would be last elections,” he added.

He assured people that he would implement fee reimbursement and Arogyasri programmes without any hitches.

He appealed to the people to return the YSR Congress candidates with thumping majority to establish a stable government.

He announced the names of Peedika Rajanna Dora for Saluru Assembly segment and Kottapalli Geeta for Araku Parliamentary constituency.

North Andhra YSR Congress convener Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao, Saluru party in-charge Rajanna Dora, Kothapalli Geeta and others were present.
