Narayana’s electoral debut. After considering the recommendations made by CPI’s Khammam District Council and Telangana State Election committee, the Central Secretariat has cleared the name of State Secretary K Narayana, as its candidate for Khammam Parliamentary constituency.
Hyderabad: After considering the recommendations made by CPI’s Khammam District Council and Telangana State Election committee, the Central Secretariat has cleared the name of State Secretary K Narayana, as its candidate for Khammam Parliamentary constituency.
This will be the first time that Narayana will be contesting any election. Though the Congress party wanted to field one of its candidates from here, it has decided to leave it to CPI as part of seat sharing arrangement.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, Narayana said, “Until now I was part of the movement as activist, but the decision increases the responsibility as I have to take care of a constituency”, he said. Exuding confidence that he would win, he said that there was huge support for the party in the district and he would have a triumphant electoral.
