25 TO VIE FOR Max Miss Hyderabad 2014. Max Miss Hyderabad, the much awaited fashion event of the year, revealed the top 25 girls on Wednesday, who would be seen battling it out for the top spot through a glitzy fashion capsule at the Max Store in Oasis Centre, Green Lands.

The afternoon proved to be an absolute fashion treat with exceptional attitude and oomph as the shortlisted contestants strutted their way down the ramp. Inspired by the latest trends on the international ramps, the collection boasted a line of feminine and flirty floral body conscious dresses, imbued with geometric and kaleidoscopic prints, chiffon tops with delicate embroidery, beautiful A line dresses, tapestry denim shorts and light weight airy blouses, featuring a kaleidoscope of colours. The ethnic wear celebrated ‘Flower Power’ with a range of exotic and colourful floral prints, ranging from engraved and clustered florals to chintz and floral overprints.
Over the last six years the Miss Hyderabad pageant had taken center stage as a launch pad for aspiring, beautiful and talented young women in the field of glamour. The shortlisted girls would go through a series of grooming sessions with top professionals in the field of modelling to prepare them for an explosive finale scheduled to take place on February 19.
This year Max joined hands with Page 3 Entertainments with an aim to recognize raw talent in aspiring young women and groom them into poised and confident models at par with their international counterparts. The finalists who walked the ramp on Wednesday comprised of such young ladies who have the charisma and attitude to make it big.
Prachi Chauhan, one among the finalists said, “I feel lucky to be among the top 25 contenders. I always wanted to be in the field of modelling and fashion. There can be nothing better than Miss Hyderabad. I am enjoying whatever is going around here. I am participating in this to brighten my career prospects."
Pooja Menda, who is pursuing engineering from Malla Reddy Engineering College said, “There cannot be any better platform than Miss Hyderabad to get into the world of fashion and modelling. My interest since childhood has been inclined to the fashion world.”
From a number of 4992, after a few rounds of screenings and auditions, the final 25 were shortlisted based on their IQ, communication skills, looks, dressing sense and overall confidence and personality.
In the coming days, these girls would be groomed to the core. Fitness sessions, proper diet, skin and dental checkups would be carried out apart from working on their etiquettes, diction, public behavior, styling and then walk . All in all, the participants would be getting a complete head to toe makeover. Experts from different fields like fashion designing, fitness, personality development and stylists would provide the participants an opportunity to explore themselves.
According to Srinivas Gunishetty, founder and CEO, Page3 entertainments, said, “An ideal winner of Miss Hyderabad would be a combination of beauty and brains and a perfect blend of poise and personality. Hyderabad has a lot of talent; all they lack is a trustworthy platform. This year the number of applications and quality of contestants was better than last year; and I hope it gets better every year”, he added.
Tadasha Mishra, 19, a BBA student, said, “I have been watching this show since I was fifteen and always wanted to be a part of it. Till now it has been a great experience and it feels amazing when the photographers keep clicking away pictures. It’s my dream to be a model and I love what I am doing.”
Jaya Vishwanathan, an engineering student, said, “I have been participating in pageants for quite some time but this is what I came for. Modeling is my passion. What would help me is just being myself and the confidence that I would gain. Whatever be it, I will not stop chasing my dream.”
