The Seventh National Youth Festival conducted at the premises of Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology at Nambur in Guntur district ended on a joyous note with 3,000 students from 70 engineering colleges in the State turning the youth festival into a cultural bonanza.
The Seventh National Youth Festival conducted at the premises of Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology at Nambur in Guntur district ended on a joyous note with 3,000 students from 70 engineering colleges in the State turning the youth festival into a cultural bonanza. The festival served as a platform for showcasing the talents of students in an extraordinary manner. The youth mesmerised the audience and enthralled one and all making it an unforgettable event for the large number of students who participated from engineering colleges in the State. The festival also brought oneness and bonded the students with cultural values reflected in their performances. Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, the chairman of the college, expressed his happiness at the success of the unique feat. He said that students have a lot of memories to cherish and would remember the event for many days to come as the spirit with which each student participated was worthy of emulation.
Competitions were held in sixty events in technical, cultural, literary, arts and sports fields during the two day youth-fest. He emphasised on inculcating discipline which alone will help in realisation of their life’s ambitions. The chief guest Dr GV Prasada Raju, registrar, JNTU Kakinada, opined that the success of any educational institution rests basically on the shoulders of good teachers. He asked the students to have a distinct plan for their career and future. He told the students that all their efforts of acquiring knowledge should be in tandem with the needs of the industry and market. He advised the students against being lethargic in life and to make their parents happy by achieving success.
