Timex also offers a companion app Timex phone app (compatible with Android and iOS) to display sleep and fitness statistics, caller ID and SMS notifications. The activity tracker comprises of a silicone band that has a slightly curved resin case to fit one's wrist. It looks sporty and is well built.


The band can be easily adjusted to fit one's wrist with the help of a clasp that features two spokes to fit into the other end with two holes. Though, the band is comfortable and soft to wear, the main casing is comparably harder and does not feel as unobtrusive as the Xiaomi Mi Band.


The Timex Ironman Move x20 is water-resistant which means you can wash your hands or step out in light rain or wash your hands, but cannot submerge the device or use it in the shower. The band integrates a digital display and two buttons. The display offers graphics and text in blue color and is easily readable outdoors.


The device comes with a Workout mode features that track distance, pace, steps, calorie expenditure and elapsed time. It has a 'Find Phone' feature that activates audible alert on the connected smartphone and offers goal completion alerts, can hold 10 days of sleep data, 30 days of daily data and 30 workout files.


The wearable records and displays distance travelled, calories burned and steps taken. You can cycle through this information along with other information such as weather and time by pressing the Play button. However, the device doesn't plug into Apple's HealthKit and is not very smart. Notifications are also limited to SMS alerts and phone call. The Move x20 is powered by a rechargeable battery and offers battery backup of seven days.
