Vijayawada’s future on canvas

The depiction of Vijayawada in the future through a painting titled, ‘Vijayawada 2030’ stole the show at the three-day art exhibition, ‘Nature is Beautiful’, on Saturday. The painting, which pictured a Vijayawada in 2030, with high-rises, metro rail, inland waterways and a beautiful landscape, drew the attention of art lovers at the ongoing exhibition at Aakriti Art Gallery.

Themed art works by Teevee (T Venkatrao) including abstract and modern art reflected realism and advocated the need for social change. Deputy Speaker of Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad, Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (APCCIF) president Muthavarapu Murali Krishna, management consultant MC Das, Cultural Centre of Vijayawada CEO E Sivanagi Reddy and artists were present.
