The Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) AK Khan inaugurated the Zubi Cricket Academy’s summer coaching camp at HMWS&SB grounds in Amberpet on Sunday. The inauguration comes as a special celebration what with it being Sachin Tendulkar’s 44th birthday on April 24.

Dressed in cricketing gear from head to toe, Khan sported a jersey that was presented to him as a souvenir by Sachin Tendulkar on his 200th test. He played a few overs, much to the encouragement of students, demonstrated his cricketing skills playing strokes all around the field while smashing some shots over the rope.

Addressing budding cricketers, he said, “More learning is possible on the field than in classroom. You should neither be put down by defeats nor should you be carried away by success.” He urged the students to make it a habit to play exclaiming that age is no bar for fitness and concluded by saying, “I am 60 and still playing.”

The Zubi Cricket Academy has tied with BROSID Sports Management and International Academy becoming the first in South India to bring the expertise to the zone. Secretary of Zubi Cricket Academy Faiyaz Ahmed and Chairman of ZCA Baquer Meraj, Irshad Ali and coach Zaffar Abbas were also present on this occasion.
