Nizamabad: Members belonging to the All India Students Federation (AISF) demanded the regularisation of the services of contract lecturers in government junior and degree colleges and enhancement of their pay scales.Addressing the contract lecturers who are on a dharna at the Collectorate in the town on Wednesday for the past seven days, AISF secretary Raghuram said that the government should resolve the issues of the lecturers at the earliest.
Raghuram said that the lecturers put in lot of services stretching to more than two decades, but, unfortunately, their services have not been regularised.Coming down heavily on the TRS government for going back on its promise of regularising the services of lecturers at the time of elections in 2014, he said that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was not at all interested in improving the educational system in the State.
