Renowned musicians Malladi Brothers (Sriram Prasad and Ravi Kumar) conducted the workshop, where an attempt was made to render the Pancharatna krithis to a corrected notation in tune with the sahityam (lyric).

Malladi Brothers impressed upon the participants of the workshop to render the krithis with appropriate bifurcation of letters and words to pass on clear understanding of the text of the krithi to the listeners. It is true that musicians of Tamil Nadu made headway in Krithi singing on the Aaradhanotsavalu at Thiruvayur.

Conducting group singing workshops to correct the notations is a novel idea by the legendary musician Nedunuri Krishna Murthy. His disciples are promoting the revised notations through workshops. It will take time to correct age old practise and sing as per revised notations.

The following krithis were practised at the workshop ‘Sri Ganapathini Sevimpa Raarey’ (Sourastra), ‘Jagada Ananda Karakaa’ (Nata), ‘Dudukugala Nanne Dorakoduku Brochuraa’, ‘Sadhincheney Oh Manasaa’ (Aarabhi), ‘Kana Kana Ruchiraa’ (Varali) and ‘Endaro Mahanubhavulu’ (Sri). To mention a few corrections ‘Jagadananda Karaka’ to be rendered as ‘Jagada Ananda Karakaa’, ‘Dudukugala Nanne Dora’ to be rendered as ‘Dudukugala Nanne Dorakoduku Brochuraa’ and in Varali krithi ‘Kanakana Ruchiraa’ there were few corrections that were made to vivify sahityam aptly.

Noted musicians like Ayyagari Syamasundaram, Jayalakshmi, D Raghavachari, Seshulatha, Viswanath, Indraganti Krishna Mohan, SuriVenkateswarlu, M Seetha Rama Sarma, Rangavajhula Panduranga Sarma, Chandrasekhar, Sudhindra Kumar, Karra Srinivas and others attended the workshop that was held at Anandanagar Community Hall, Khairatabad. It is said that in the upcoming 168th Thyagaraja Aaradhanotsavalu and attempt will be made to sing the pancharatna krithis in revised notation.
