Musheerabad: The Telugu Desam Greater Hyderabad unit president M S Srinivas Rao on Sunday criticised the TRS government for filling the city with garbage in sharp contrast to the rule by the TDP during which three clean and green awards were received.

During the ‘basti bastiki TDP programme’ in Gandhinagar division, Rao, who is also TDP in-charge of the Mushirabad constituency, accused the TRS party of failing to honour its promise, given before the GHMC polls, of converting Hyderabad into a world class City. ‘It has only turned the State capital into a city of problems’.

Rao, after unveiling the party flag, went round Girinagar, Arundhatinagar, Sabarmatinagar, Yellamma Basti,Vivekanandanagar and other areas. The party leaders received good response from the residents in getting a feedback on the problems like improper water supply, overflowing drains, poor maintenance of roads.

Residents of Arundhatinagar complained of facing many health problems on account of the open nala in the area. Rao assured the people that whether TDP was in power or not he would always be with them. He asserted that he would contest from Mushirabad as a TDP candidate in the ensuing elections.

The TD leader advised the party activists to know people’s problems right from the booth-level and always stand by them. Among those present were Balaraju, Shekila Reddy, Vinod, Mallesh, Babu Rao.
