Pending payments for paddy to be paid in two days

Siddipet: District Public Distribution Officer said in a statement that the government had purchased 1,10,000 tons of paddy produce from 25,586 farmers for the year 2017-18 for this rabi season through 159 procurement centres in the district.

For this procurement, Rs 164 crore payments out of total Rs 174 crore were made to the 23,917 farmers and the remaining payments of Rs 10 crore will be credited to the accounts of the farmers on June 14 and 15, said the official. If any farmer does not get the payment on the above two days, they can consult at Collectorate on toll free number 7995050809 or complaint to the Joint Collector or PDO in written form if the pending of the bill continues, said the official.
