Nizampat Cricket Group wins Premier League tourney
In the Nizampet Premier League Cricket Tournament final on Sunday, Nizampat Cricket Group defeated crazy XI by 55 runs in Qutbullapur Mandal Stadium. Batting first, the winners scored 157. Crazy XI was dismissed for 103. Bachupalli CI K Balakrishna Reddy, the chief guest, gave away the prizes.

Veshasla Dhananjay, chairman of Common Man’s Forum, which conducted the tournament, said the event was organised to provide a platform to local people. He appealed to the State government to construct a stadium either in Nizampet or Bachupalli village. Bandaru Layout Colony president Narsimha Reddy called for a united struggle to secure the stadium in Nizampet.
Forum general secretary and secretary Inkeshaf Ahmed, Budde Srinivas, spoke. Among those who participated in conducting the tournament were M Bikshapati Yadav, J Srilata, Dr Gitanjali, Moosa, K Murali, Sujata, S Bobji, P Santosh, Shirisha, Mahesh, Jayakumari, Lakshminarayana, Nagalakshmi, M Ravichandra, K Rama.
