Santosh Nagar: The development works in Santosh Nagar picked up pace following the recent ‘paidal daura’ of Hyderabad MP and MIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi in Santosh Nagar area. Speaking to The Hans India, the area corporator, Md Muzaffar Hussain said that this was impact after Owaisi had inspected Santosh Nagar area last month. “Rs 1.45 crore has already been sanctioned and more Rs 2 crore will be sanctioned soon for more development in the division under Yakutpura Constituency”, he said.

Md Muzaffar Hussain, G Narsing Rao Executive Engineer (EE), Syed Tahseen Hashmi Assistant Engineer (AE) were regularly overseeing the ongoing works in the area. Several works were started recently in Santosh Nagar like laying of CC road in Maulana Azad Nagar, drain pipe with CC road in GM Khan road, Etehad Nagar with sanctioned amount of Rs 20 lakh for CC road. While major drain work and with CC road in Tawwakal lane with sanctioned amount of Rs16 lakh, CC road in Qalander Nagar worth Rs19 lakh, compound walls in graveyard near Dargah Barahneshah Sahab, many patch works in all over Santosh Nagar were now being taken up, said Hashmi.

It may be mentioned here that Hyderabad MP undertook ‘paidal daura’ (padayatra) in several areas of Santoshnagar division, along with local MLA and Corporators in June. During the padayatra he had enquired about the developmental works and their status in the area. He asked the local MLA, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan (Yakutpura Constituency), Santosh Nagar Corporator, Md Muzaffar Hussain, Talab Chanchalam Corporator Nasreen Sultana and Kurmaguda Corporator, Sameena Begum, Rein Bazar Corporator Mir Wajid Ali Khan who had accompanied him to complete the pending works.
