A round table conference between representatives of Seemandhra and Telangana emphasised the need for peaceful separation of two regions in the larger interests of the people. Organised by Citizens Care and Collective (CCC) convenor K Sajaya, the programme tried to focus on the core issues that prompted bifurcation. It was the need for addressing the people’s needs and aspirations, which could only be possible when general people throw their weight behind developing the regions rather than falling prey to the designs of selfish politicians.

Organised by Citizens Care and Collective (CCC) convenor K Sajaya, the programme tried to focus on the core issues that prompted bifurcation. It was the need for addressing the people’s needs and aspirations, which could only be possible when general people throw their weight behind developing the regions rather than falling prey to the designs of selfish politicians.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Haragopal said that he respected the people from both the regions. Underlining the capability of the people from Andhra region, he said that Telangana people always held them in high regard. Social worker Ajay Kumar tried to allay the apprehensions of the Seemandhra people. He said following the separation both the regions will have to focus on bringing in just administration.

Giving an example of Jammu & Kashmir which has two capitals, he suggested developing two new cities in Seemandhra with capital in Rayalaseema and the other in Vizag, rather exhausting resources of one city. Welcoming the Antony committee, Editor of Bahujana Keratalu, Palnati Sriramulu said that it must address the problems faced by the downtrodden and Dalits.
Potturi Venkateshwar Rao, Senior Journalist, Vidyasagar Rao, Retired Chief Engineer, Anjaiah, State Bahujana Sangham, Bhuman, Rayalaseema Adhyayana Vedika, Ram Sudhakar, Seemandhra Development Forum and poets, artists were present at the Round table conference.
