Hyderabad: The former PCC president D Srinivas on Tuesday asked the Centre to immediately intervene and start negotiations with APNGOs and TNGOs to resolve the crisis in the State, so that the process of bifurcation can be taken forward. Addressing the press at his residence, Srinivas said that the decision to bifurcate the State has been done and that chapter was now over. If any leader claims that the Centre will either have reconsider or stop the process, then they are fooling the people. Instead of misleading the people, they should put in efforts to get best of the benefits and best of package from the Centre.

Srinivas said that the Centre should ask a senior officer, may be the home secretary, to hold talks with APNGOs and TNGOs so that their apprehensions and fears can be addressed. The Home Ministry should take them into confidence since the employees’ form a very important segment could be directly affected, he said.

Offering to cooperate in the process of negotiations with the employees, Srinivas said that APNGOs and TNGOs claim that they have no differences, but of late situations have been arising where both sides had come to near confrontation. Now the APNGOs want to hold public rally on September 7 at L B Stadium and the TNGOs want to take out Sadbhavana rally. This could whip up passions and hence the Centre should immediately intervene in the matter, Srinivas said.
