Medicos rally for road safety in Hyderabad

Continental Hospitals organised a bike rally from Gachibowli flyover to the hospital premises on Saturday as part of the Road Safety Week. The hospital’s 'Road to Safety' campaign aimed to help reduce the number of preventable accidents by encouraging people to be more responsible behind the wheel.

Cyberabad Circle Inspector (traffic) Tirupathi Rao flagged off the ride. Staff members took part in the rally. Madhapur Circle Inspector (traffic) Shanker strongly recommended all the participants and general public to follow traffic rules. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Guru N Reddy, chairman, Continental Hospitals, said,

“As doctors recommend methods to minimise spread of diseases, the traffic police, the government and other organisations recommend some fundamental rules. Those should not be adopted due to fear of challan, but as an inbuilt habit to save your lives. If such fundamentals become routine habits, we can really prevent accidents."
