Pulse polio drive on Sunday
A pulse polio drive would organised in the city for children below the age of five on Sunday between 7 am and 6 pm. A taskforce committee meeting was organised on Wednesday which included the GHMC, district collectorates and other government officials. Tt was announced that there would 115 mobile teams and 226 transit points in the city.

At the meeting, 367 high risk areas, where about 9,345 kids under the age of five reside, were identified. Of the city’s 5.83 lakh kids, ten lakh kids are expected to be administered the drops. There are about 4.16 lakh kids in Ranga Reddy district (urban). The health department officials will visit the homes of those kids who are administered drops on Sunday between February 23 and 25 to give the second dosage.
