The Telangana government has decided to compile full data on the unemployed in the state by floating a separate website as there has been no recruitment in the government since last 14 years. As of 2012, there were 9,49,888 unemployed in the state and most have not been even renewing their status later on.
The Telangana government has decided to compile full data on the unemployed in the state by floating a separate website as there has been no recruitment in the government since last 14 years. As of 2012, there were 9,49,888 unemployed in the state and most have not been even renewing their status later on. The status today is that there are 22 lakh unemployed in Telangana as against 16 lakhs in AP. The industrial policy of both the states are designed to attract at least 3 million jobs in next 15 years.

But after bifurcation and formation of Telengana, the KCR government has launched a data bank of unemployed in all sectors and also gathering vacancies in all 80 odd departments in the state.
During a recent review of employment generation campaign, Chief Minister K Chandrasgekar Rao had given his nod to recruitment in Singareni (5478 jobs), Power (2681 jobs), and 1526 jobs in Panchayat Raj and RWS. But the promise of lakhs of jobs in software and construction sector is yet to materialize.
