Karimangar: TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu’s bus yatra was a damp squib, termed TRS MLA Koppula Eshwar. Mr Naidu proved that he was not committed to the stand taken on Telangana by giving a letter to the Centre stating he was not against formation of a separate State for Telangana. But after CWC made a statement on the division of the State, he changed his colours like a chameleon.

Initially, he welcomed the bifurcation and demanded Rs 2 lakh crore for building a new capital for Seemandhra. However, he changed his stand when the YSRCP chanted united mantra by leaving its earlier promise that it won’t oppose the bifurcation if the Central government divides the State. Therefore, Babu changed his stance and started touring Krishna and Guntur districts. During his tour, he recalled that he had stopped the bifurcation of the State during the NDA tenure. He said he was doing yatra as he was unable to see tears in the eyes of Seemandhra people. Mr Eshwar reminded that where was Babu when the Telangana movement was at a peak stage.

He never bothered to wipe the tears of those families that lost their sons. On one hand, he was calling the TDP leaders and telling them to gain sympathy of the people at the village-level telling them that formation of Telangana was realised due to the letter given by the TDP. On the other hand, he was planning to stop the creation of Telangana. So, he does not have moral right to flay the TRS, which was espousing the cause of Telangana more than a decade, he pointed out.
