Publicity vehicle for Police Martyrs Day flagged off in Khammam

The Collector along with the Commissioner of Police, Tafseer Iqbal, flagged off a publicity vehicle for creating awareness on 10K, 5K and 2K runs that are going to be organised on October 15, in Hyderabad by the State Police Department to mark the second Indian Police Martyrs Memorial Day, which would be observed on October 21.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said large number police persons was getting killed in the line of their duty and to remember them and their sacrifices, Police Martyrs Day was observed on every October 21.
Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal said for the safety of people and for establishing peace in the society, many police personnel sacrificed their lives across the country. “It is the responsibility of every citizen to recognise their sacrifices,” he said.
People interested to participate in the 10K, 5K and 2K runs must enroll their names through online on www.polinerun.in website.
Appreciation certificates would be given to all the persons who participate, and also awards to those who win the competitions, informed the top cop.
The Collector and the Commissioner urged various sections of people to participate in the runs in large numbers and make the programme a grand success.
Later, a show was screened on the sacrifices made by the police personnel on the digital screen that was arranged in the publicity vehicle for creating awareness.
The vehicle was later taken to Church Compound, Gandhi Chowk, Nayabazar, Mayuri Centre, Wyra Road, Khammam Two Town Police Station, NTR Circle, Raparthi Magar, Warangal Crossroad and to various colleges for publicity.
ACP Ismail, Khammam Rural ACP Suresh Kumar, CAR ACPs Sanjeev and Venkateshwarlu, CIs Srinivas Reddy, Raji Reddy, Venkanna Babu, Naresh Reddy and Thirupathi Reddy were present along with others.
