School bus overturns, leaves many students injured
About 50 students of Akshara School travelling in their school bus from Ekvayipalli village in Jadcherla mandal on Friday morning had a miraculous escape after the steering wheel came off suddenly.
Mahbubnagar: About 50 students of Akshara School travelling in their school bus from Ekvayipalli village in Jadcherla mandal on Friday morning had a miraculous escape after the steering wheel came off suddenly.
As the driver lost control over the vehicle, it sped off the road and overturned in Thalakondapalli. Several students suffered injuries in the mishap. Locals rushed to the spot and called the ambulance. Nearly, forty students were shifted to the Jadcherla government hospital.
Meanwhile, parents of the injured students told The Hans India that the bus was overloaded. They accused the officials of overseeing the fitness of school buses. Making them angry further, the police failed to reach the accident spot even after two hours into the incident.
Some parents expressed ire at the indifference of the police. They alleged the police of being prompt in protecting VIPs and neglecting the commoners, who are actually in need of their services.
