Inter lad booked for attempt to molest 5-yr-old
The Lakshmidevipalli police registered a case on intermediate student for allegedly trying to sexually assault a five-year-old girl here at Hamali Colony of Chatakonda village of Lakshmidevipalli mandal in Khammam on Friday.

According to sources, the five-year-old kinder garten student is the daughter of V Ravinder and Kesha Kumari, residents of Hamali Colony. The incident occurred on Friday when girl returned from her school in the evening. Ravinder, an inter student of the same Colony, lured the girl to his home on the pretext of buying her some chocolates. When Ravinder tried to sexually abuse her, the frightened girl ran to her house and informed her parents.
Reacting immediately, the parents of the girl registered a complaint with Lakshmidevipalli police station. Meanwhile, the representatives of women’s organisations and Child Development Protection Officer Jayalakshmi urged the police officials to take stringent action against the inter student for his distasteful act.
