The Vijayawada Ration Dealers Association president Manthena Srinivasa Rao and other members garlanded the Telugu Thalli statue at Tummalapalli kalakshetram before heading towards Sub Collector office.

Manthena Srinivasa Rao, addressing the media said that Andhra State would have tough situation after division. Around 50 per cent of revenue generated in the State is coming from Hyderabad. But UPA Government has decided to form Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital.

He added that Andhra government can’t bare subsidy of Rs 3500 crore after separation as revenue of the State will be very less. Partition of the State will destroy the economic structure of Telugu people, he said and added that the ration dealers were against division of State. Srinivasa Rao said that the ration dealers would support APNGOs strike and were ready to participate in any agitation called by the employees associations.

The Samaikyandhra JAC president and APNGOs West Krishna Division president, A Vidya Sagar, said that UPA Government was trying to prolong the issue by appointing high power committees. He demanded the resignation of MPs, MLAs and ministers and join the agitation. Vidya Sagar requested the people to support their strike and make it successful.
