After a massive fire accident at Numaish in the last week, the exhibition reopened on Saturday three days after the mishap. However, no rush was seen at the exhibition despite the weekend.
Around 50,000 people used to visit Numaish on the weekdays and 1 lakh on weekends. But after the fire mishap, the exhibition witnessed a least of 16,000 people on Saturday and 35,000 on Sunday. Meanwhile, the stall owners expressed regret over the public visit to the exhibition and said that they will face a great loss if the situation continues.
On the other hand, the officials appealed to the citizens to visit the exhibition without any fear as proper measures have been taken after the huge loss. The fire accident which took place on January 30 burnt around 300 stalls and injured several.
