Sangareddy (Medak): Telangana Non-Gazetted Officers Association president Deviprasad came down heavily on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy here on Monday and said that the chief minister has been discriminating the Telangana employees. tngoTalking to newsmen he said that the chief minister assured during the recall of the general strike that the strike period would be considered leave period with salary. However, the assurance was not implemented so far, he added. The forty thousand employees were going to lose Rs One lakh each on account of this, he lamented. Deviprasad recalled that the state government had strike the work 28 times in the past and 27 times they were paid salaries. However, the chief minister has been harassing the Telangana employees by not considering the strike period as leave period with salary. He demanded that the term of the present pay revision commission should be reduced to six months. He justified his demand by stating that one year was not necessary to submit its report these days. "Any report could be completed within six months if the present information technology is properly utilized," he added. He said that it was not proper on the part of the government not to take a decision on issuing health cards to the government employees. "A policy to extend all types of medical services to the government employees should be formulated," he demanded. He opined that it was not improper if the employees joined politics. "It is not at all improper if the retired employees joined politics," he added. The TNGO chief warned that they would launch another massive agitation in protest against the tactics of the Central government in carving out separate State.
