Chintapalli: In a fatal road accident that took place at about 11:10 pm on Thursday night near Chintapalli village in Nalgonda district, as many as 13 persons died on the spot and 10 others sustained grave injuries. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Devarakonda, according to local SP.
A high speeding lorry darted a Cruiser transport full of passengers and another van at the same speed on Thursday night. Nine people travelling by the cruiser died on the spot, while one person died on the way to the hospital. Those travelling by the cruiser were returning home after attending a ritual ceremony at Telugupalli village in Devarakonda mandal. They are all labourers working at Uppuguda in Hyderabad and hail from Kondareddypalle village in Mahbubnagar district, sources added.
