The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) on Sunday said that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is a symbol of honesty in Indian politics adding that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is wrongly accusing the Minister of indulging in financial irregularities while he was at the helm of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).
The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) on Sunday said that Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is a symbol of honesty in Indian politics adding that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is wrongly accusing the Minister of indulging in financial irregularities while he was at the helm of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).
"Arvind Kejriwal is dialling a wrong number by accusing Arun Jaitley. The people of this country believes that Arun Jaitley is honest. He is a symbol of honesty in Indian politics. There was no corruption cases in DDCA under the helm of Arun Jailtey ji," BJP national spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI here.
The Delhi Government on Sunday also alleged the CBI officials are threatening Principal Secretary to Delhi Chief Minister Rajendra Kumar and asking him to reveal the names of DDCA (Delhi and District Cricket Association) officials who met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Rajendra Kumar who has been accused for criminal conspiracy and has a case registered against is being questioned by the CBI.
He has been accused of setting up various companies to give work contracts without tenders which has been a huge loss to the Delhi government.
The Delhi Government has accused Arun Jaitley of indulging in financial irregularities while he was at the helm of the Delhi Cricket Board (DDCA). The party also exhorted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sack Jaitley from the union cabinet.
Hitting back Jaitley had said that Arvind Kejriwal, seems to believe in untruth and defamation, delivered in a language that borders on hysteria.
