67% polling till 3 PM in Assam first phase poll

67 percent polling was recorded till 3 PM on Monday in the first phase poll in 65 constituencies of Assam.The polling began in 12190 polling stations of the 65 assembly constituencies from 7 AM on Monday.

95 lakh voters will decide fate of 539 candidates in the first phase poll.Among the candidates Assam Chief Minister and Congress candidate in Titabor constituency had casted his vote in Jorhat, while BJP’s Cheif Ministerial candidate Sarbananda Sonowal cast his vote in Amguri of Sibsagar district.

On the other hand Assam Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vijayendra said that, the voters had came out for casting their votes and we hope more than 85 percent will be polled in the first phase.
