Rajendra Dadu , a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Nepanagar assembly constituency in Burhanpur district was killed on the spot in a road accident in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday night.

Dadu was travelling from Indore to Bhopal to attend the BJP's legislature party meeting held at the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence when midway his car skidded and collided with a roadside ditch.

Dadu's personal assistant and driver also died after succumbing to their injures at the Chirayu hospital.

Dadu is survived by his wife and three daughters.

This was his second consecutive term as MLA of Nepanagar in Burhanpur district. He was heading here via Indore to attend a BJP Legislature Party meeting. The gathering, at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence, was curtailed following news of the accident.
