ssc2 - SSC public examinations from March 22 - 33,875 students to take the exams - 171 exam centres in the district - 2098 invigilators, 24 sitting squads on exam duties Nellore: District Education Officer (DEO) Muvva Ramalingam said that all arrangements were in place for the SSC public examinations to be held from March 22. Speaking with the media at his office here on Tuesday, he said that a total of 33,875 students of which 31,334 regular and 2,541 private students would write the exams in 171 exam centres in the district. A The DEO said that 2098 invigilators, a Superintendent and Departmental Officer for each centre and 24 sitting squads are appointed for the exam duties. Ten flying squads were constituted for surprise checks. The DEO appealed to the students to stop worrying about the examinations. He said all the necessary infrastructure was provided in the examination halls. The students should be present in the exam hall at 8:45 am and OMR answer sheet will be given at 9 am. The exam would be conducted from 9:30 am to 12 noon. Special arrangements were in place for the children with special needs. Electronic gadgets and cell phones are not permitted into the exam hall. Children are permitted to take water bottle with them. Ramalingam said that RTC would ply buses to the exam halls and students can claim concession in fare by showing hall tickets. He directed the officials to enforce 144 Section and closure of photo copy shops near the exam centres. Students who had not received the hall ticket so far can download the hall ticket from the website "www.bseap.org." The DEO said the students with less than 60 per cent of attendance would be permitted to write the exam as per the decision of the government. Students with 70 per cent of attendance can write the exam with the permission of DEO.

SSC exam kits presentedA Pullampet (Rajampet): District Education Officer T Anjaiah and Rajampet DSP Anonya presented SSC examination kits to the tenth class students in a programme held at the MPDO office here on Tuesday. A Chejarla Subramanyam Raju Charitable Trust sponsored exam kits to 407 students appearing for SSC exams from 11 schools in the mandal. Speaking at the programme, the DEO asked the students to respect elders and to work hard for securing more marks in the examinations. DSP Anonya appealed to the students to work hard for reaching higher positions. MEOs Krishna Kumar, Ravindranath, MPDO Krishnaiah, teachers and students participated in the programme.
