One interesting question was posed to the students of various schools who gathered for a private event here in Chennai; why they love and vote for Modiji? Diverse reasons came, however most of them were pointing towards, Modiji has captured the hope, imagination, faith and dream of the youth. On further dissection of the answers to understand how Modiji could capture the imagination of youth, we could find tow major reasons and are
1. The degenerated, dissolved, diffused, disillusioned opposition
2. The vision, commitment, good intent and evidence shown by Modiji
Some students, definitely small in numbers with reference to the total gathering stated that they hate most of the opposition parties because they have nothing for the country but always attack Their only agenda appears to be to oppose, accuse and abuse Modiji and never wants to see merits in the good work of Modiji.
These opposition parties always play politics and portray India as bedlam of communal fight and minority atrocities and Modiji as the prime cause. Many youth are frustrated with such psychic and phobic behaviour of the opposition parties against Modiji and they have nothing constructive and useful for the country.
Thanks to such opposition, small fraction of youths stated that they love and vote for Modiji. Perhaps if the opposition showcases some merit in their opposition and come up with some path breaking ideas or strategy for our country, this small group of youths may re-look at them. However the number of such youths is very small.
Nearly 90% of the students in the gathering clearly stated that they respect Modiji because he has clear vision and leadership for the nation and who is inspiring, tireless, passionate and has proved his credibility and credence through action ever since he became Prime Minister of our country.
Many initiatives of Modiji, youths recognize as right steps. Further the youth wish that complete reform in our political system is inevitable which they hope Modiji shall bring.
Youths have given thumps up to Modiji for demonetization because it had punished many corrupt people and many politicians although it has caused some discomfort to people as well. People are always willing to undergo such sufferings but it must eradicate corruption.
The possible interpretation of the above is that our system must be merciless and cruel towards corrupt politicians and all such politicians must be punished. Youth are in a way angry at the establishment. If Modiji ensures that all corruption cases are fast tracked and all corrupt politicians are punished soon, certainly Modiji will be seen as great leader with lasting urge to develop the country. He shall remain invincible.
Today youths are utterly hopeless and want that all those criminals are punished. They believe that weeding out all corrupt politicians is the need of the hour than doing anything else because once that is done, our country will automatically flourish.
Youths also believe that Modiji has right intent to ensure Sab ka sath sub ka vikas. Improving the quality of education, especially the professional courses like MBBS is much needed and in this regard, Modiji has taken a firm stand on NEET and scraping of extra constitutional privileges given for PG admission.
Electoral reform is must. Politicians and their class 1 legal heirs should not be involved in any business activities that can receive any favour from the Government directly or indirectly. Once this is done, the politicians running various business ventures like medical colleges and then attempt to change the government policy to enhance their profit etc., can be contained.
Like demonetization, another tsunami people wish and expect from Modiji targeting the corrupt politicians and goons.
Youths believe that BJP as a party believes in superstition and faith based practices than the tenets of scientific temperament. This might liquidate and erode the credibility of Modiji if he publicly endorses such nonsense. Youths see the efforts of the present Government to gift the faith based health practices to poor people in rural India as an evidence of Modiji’s commitment to promote superstition.
Overall reflection of the youths is that India’s future not only lies in the hands of Modiji but also they believe it is safe in his hands. But big reformist and disruptive (non statuesque- istic) decisions from Modiji against all those who loot and corrupt our nation is expected.
It is better Modiji refrain from promoting superstition and faith based concepts and instead must foment science.
