Pulse polio programme held

Nizamabad: Pulse polio drops were administered to the children below the age of five years in the town from 7 AM to 6 PM on Sunday during the pulse polio programme. As many as 6 lakh children were administered the polio drops.

Elaborate arrangements were made by the officials of the district department for conducting the pulse polio programme.

The immunisation campaign was held in more than 3,000 centres at all the primary health centres, community halls, premises of government schools, railway stations and bus stands.

Nizamabad Mayor Akula Sujatha administered the polio drops to the children. She urged al the parents to make sure that their children were administered the drips without fail as the drops enhance the immunity level of the children.
