Karimnagar: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao has on Sunday said that the magnitude of development, Telangana has witnessed in last two years is more than that people had ever seen since the Indian Independence.

Addressing a public meeting near Elgandal Fort village after laying foundation stone for the construction of Rs 60 crore high level bridge across Manair river that restores the age-old road link between Karimnagar and the fort village, he said that the State is on right path of development since the TRS government came to power.
“Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took it as a challenge and ensured uninterrupted power supply in the State within three months of Telangana formation,” Rao said, reeling out other welfare plans introduced by the government. He announced Rs 5 crore for Elgandal-Gudem-Khajipur road on the occasion.
Finance Minister E Rajender and Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar said that plans are afoot to turn Karimnagar as a tourism hub.
They heaped praise on local MLA Gangula Kamalakar who has been pursuing hard for the development of Karimnagar.
Zilla Parishad Chairperson T Uma and MLC N Laxman Rao were among others present.
