Beas Tragedy: Durga Tarun’s Dead Body Found. s envisaged on the 11th day after the Beas tragedy in Himachal Pradesh, two more bodies were retrieved from the Beas River on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: As envisaged on the 11th day after the Beas tragedy in Himachal Pradesh, two more bodies were retrieved from the Beas River on Wednesday. One of the dead bodies was identified as that of a student named P.V. Durga Tarun of VNR VJIET in Hyderabad.
According to sources, the swollen body floating in the river was spotted by search teams at Pandoh Dam located 16 km away from the mishap site. Only 9 dead bodies have been fished out so far of the total 24 dead bodies of the engineering students. The other body found in the dam is said to be that of a HP local. The dam authorities and other officials are expecting more bodies to float in the next two or three days.
The Telangana transport minister Mahendar Reddy who has been present at the spot said that the siren didn't work at the dam when the water was released on the tragic day. He said they were expecting more dead bodies within a day or two.
