In a major setback to TDP MLA Revanth Reddy in his own constituency Kodangal, one of the key leaders quit the TDP and joined TRS. Kodangal Mandal Parishath president Dayakar Reddy joined the TRS in the presence of minister Lakshma Reddy at the party office.

Revanth Reddy, who was released on bail in connection with the cash-for-vote scam, has been trying to infuse confidence among the cadre. Now, Dayakar Reddy's resignation comes as a slight blow to Revanth Reddy who is trying to take on the TRS government.
