Karimnagar: Mild tension prevailed at the district court when the benamis of ASI Mohan Reddy and advocates attacked each other here on Thursday morning.

Mohan Reddy, who was undergoing judicial remand in connection with illegal finance case, brought to the district court to appear before the judge in the morning. A few people and advocates present in the court took pictures of ASI with their mobile phones.

Observing this, Mohan Reddy’s son Akshay Reddy, brother Mahender Reddy and brother of another accused Pahilwan abused the advocates with filthy language. They snatched the mobile phones and threw them away.

Enraged over the incident, advocates picked up argument with Mohan Reddy’s benamis. Jostling took place and later both the groups attacked each other. Police, after knowing the incident, rushed to the spot and arrested the followers of ASI. Later Mohan Reddy was also shifted to the district Jail.

Advocates Ganta Satish and Mohan Kumar lodged complaint with the Two Town police against Akshay Reddy, Mahender Reddy and others.
