Why didn't Pawan Kalyan take part in GHMC polls?
Several film celebrities including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Jr NTR and Allu Arjun came out to vote in the elections to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and also appealed to the voters to participate in the poll process. According to the buzz, actor and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan failed to cast his vote.

Soon after addressing the press conference, Pawan is said to have flown back to Kerala to resume shooting for Sardaar Gabbar Singh. While his colleagues from the industry encouraged the voters to exercise their voting rights, Pawan chose not to vote anyone.
There were reports that Pawan had decided to field candidates for the GHMC elections. But he stayed away from either fielding candidates or casting his vote. Many feel that this would bring bad image for Pawan as casting vote is the basic responsibility of every citizen.
