Karimnagar: Senior Congress leader and former MP Ponnam Prabhakar on Thursday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was pushing the State into financial crisis with his senseless decisions.

Speaking with the reporters about the State’s recent pact with Maharashtra government for constructing irrigation projects over River Godavari, he said Andhra Pradesh has about Rs 60,000 crore debts at the time of bifurcation and the number now has increased to Rs 1.6 lakh crores.

Former CM of united AP N Kiran Kumar Reddy and his Maharashtra counterpart Prithviraj Chavan had signed an agreement on May 5, 2012. Where was the need to make a fresh agreement when the AP had already made an understanding with that State, he questioned.
