Hyderabad: The State government has made elaborate arrangements for conducting first Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test scheduled on May 1.

During a review meeting on Tuesday on the arrangements for the test on Tuesday, Special Chief Principal Secretary of Education Ranjeev R Acharya instructed to all district Collectors to have foolproof system for conducting examination.

As many as 3,63,000 candidates have registered for the test and as many as 1,175 examination centres have been set up for smooth conduct of examination across the State.

In the wake of drought, the government has decided to provide midday meal scheme for the students in the government schools during summer also.

The Special Chief Secretary enquired about the poor turnout of children for the midday meals in the schools. She instructed officials to give adequate publicity in the rural areas on scheme.

She also directed the officials make use of funds for constructing kitchen sheds for preparing meals for the children in the schools.
