GHMC sets up IT cell to rectify building permission errors
In order to facilitate citizens and rectify errors in online building approval which is also known as Development Permission Management System (DPMS), the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to set up an Information Technology (IT) cell at its headquarters near Tank Bund. The cell would provide hand-held assistance to architects, engineers, surveyors and citizens to create a
​Hyderabad: In order to facilitate citizens and rectify errors in online building approval which is also known as Development Permission Management System (DPMS), the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to set up an Information Technology (IT) cell at its headquarters near Tank Bund. The cell would provide hand-held assistance to architects, engineers, surveyors and citizens to create an online file using pre-DCR software tool.
According to a press release here on Wednesday, the GHMC has so far received 434 applications at circle level, 33 at zonal level and 37 at Corporation headquarters. During the online application process, it was observed that architects, engineers, surveyors and citizens had encountered some pre-DCR errors. In order to facilitate them, six experts would be deployed from a private consultant at GHMC head office and zonal offices.
The GHMC town planning officials said if architects bring the pre-DCR drawing file to the help desk at head office or zonal Office, the drawing would be run through Auto DCR software to find out the errors if any in the drawings and the same would be instantly informed to the architects and planners. The architects and planners can revise the drawings accordingly and submit them again along with online application.
The town planning officials said that architects and planners can also seek clarifications through online assistance by dialing GHMC helpline number 040-23221269 during office hours. The licensed technical personnel and citizens are informed to utilise the DPMS in order to so accord building permissions, they added.
