Hyderabad: Daring Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to order a CBI inquiry into his allegations against Congress, former MP Madhu Yashki Goud said the Congress leaders were not afraid of the Chief Minister’s threats.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan along with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) official spokesperson K Mahesh here on Thursday, Yashki said the Congress would prove corruptions of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government and “will send the Chief Minister, his son and Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao, daughter and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha and nephew and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao to jail.” He alleged that Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao were ‘looting’ the State in the name of agreement with Maharashtra State.

Finding fault with Chandrashekar Rao for criticising the Congress on irrigation projects, Yashki asked the Chief Minister and Harish Rao what they did when they were Ministers in the State and at the Centre. He said TRS MP Vinod and MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao were impleaded in the case when he filed a case on Babli project. He asked the Chief Minister why he had failed to question about the illegal projects constructed by the Maharashtra government across the Godavari river during his ‘Maha’ agreement.

Reminding that the Congress got nine permissions for Pranahitha-Chevella project at the height of 152 metres, Yashki said the Chief Minister failed to say what he had achieved by entering into an agreement with the Maharashtra government. Questioning the Chief Minister why he was not giving detailed project report (DPR) of the redesigned projects, Yashki alleged that Irrigation Minister Harish Rao threatened the contractors from Andhra Pradesh State. “The Chief Minister too asked contractors five percent commission,” he alleged and said the TRS government was giving contracts to his henchmen.

Finding fault with Chandrashekar Rao’s threats, Yashki reminded the Supreme Court remarks against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for filing cases against the Opposition party leaders for criticising the government, Yashki said Chandrashekar Rao should remember India is a democratic country. Meanwhile, expressing shock at the TRS party celebrations at Begumpet Airport on August 24, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka asked Chandrasekhar Rao to tell whether the Chief Minister had succeeded in increasing the height of the Thummidihatti project.

Bhatti said Maharashtra people deserved to celebrate but not the Telangana people. “The Chief Minister failed to get the 3,000 acre land from the Maharashtra government to construct the Thummidihatti project at the height of 152 metres. But he succeeded in giving two lakh acres in seven mandals to Polavaram project,” he said pointing out that Chandrashekar Rao failed in both ways.
