CNBC-TV18, a business news television network, has chosen Telangana for ‘Promising State of the Year’ award as a part of its India Business Leader Awards (IBLA) which will be presented at a special function in New Delhi on August 30.

Hyderabad: CNBC-TV18, a business news television network, has chosen Telangana for ‘Promising State of the Year’ award as a part of its India Business Leader Awards (IBLA) which will be presented at a special function in New Delhi on August 30. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be chief guest at the event. Minister for Industries and IT KT Rama Rao will receive the award on behalf of the Telangana government.

The CNBC-TV18 said the award for Telangana would reaffirm IBLA’s commitment to encouraging business leaders, according to an official release here. The CNBC TV18 awards are considered a benchmark recognition of India’s best business leadership, it added.

The awards ceremony will begin with a discussion on GST in which Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian and his colleagues from the Finance Ministry will take part. The CNBC will also be hosting a ministerial panel later in the evening. Union ministers Prakash Javadekar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smriti Irani and Nirmala Sitharaman, will participate.
