​Yadadri: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao reviewed the ongoing development works at the Yadadri hill shrine here on Wednesday. The Chief Minister arrived at Yadadri at 1.30 pm and drove to the Balalayam and participated in special puja of Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy. The temple priests welcomed the Chief Minister with ‘purnakumbham’.

After visiting the sites of the Rajagopurams, the Chief Minister examined the works of the main temple. He also sought the status of the construction of the retaining wall to the hill shrine. The Chief Minister also visited the sites of the three-floor queue complex, potu (kitchen), and installation of huge Hanuman idol on the hill shrine.

He also suggested to the Yadadri Temple Development Authority (YTDA) officials to see that no inconvenience was caused to the devotees on the hill shrine due to the temple development works. The Chief Minister also enquired about the details of pushkarini, drinking water, underground drainage and power supply works.

Later, he visited Peddagutta on which the development of temple city is proposed to be constructed on a 200-acre site. The officials explained to the Chief Minister on the measures taken to construct 200 cottages, landscapes, and canteens as part of temple town plan. The Chief Minister then conducted a review meeting with the YTDA officials and temple authorities.

Speaking at the review meeting, KCR instructed the officials to develop the queue system in such a way that even if the rush of devotees increases to one lakh, people can be accommodated. Underlining the need to lay four-lane road on the four sides of the hill shrine, he instructed the officials to prepare proposals for laying of four lane road from Vangapally to Yadadri.

The Chief Minister asked the officials of the Forest Department to develop a nursery with flower tress for the daily puja programmes at the temple. He also made it clear that the works of development of Yadadri temple must be as per Agama shashtras.

Reminding the officials that several corporate companies and individuals were coming forward for construction of cottages, he instructed them to prepare lay-outs and take up construction works as early as possible. In addition to 15 VIP suites, a Presidential suite would be constructed in 13 acres area near the main temple, he added. The Chief Minister also assured the shop owners who would lose their shops in road widening of alternative arrangements.
