Hanamkonda: Claiming himself as the messiah of the downtrodden, writer and dalit activist Prof Kancha Ilaiah, who stirred up a controversy with his book ‘Samajika Smugglerlu Komatollu’, heralded that he is not the one, who yields under the pressure, no matter how extreme, and his fight against Vysyas would continue.

Speaking at a meeting organised by the T MASS (Praja Sanghala Ikya Vedika) here on Sunday, Ilaiah said: “After BR Ambedkar, who struggled for the uplift of oppressed and marginalised sections of the society through his life, I am here to fight for the rights of the downtrodden. From today itself, I quit my job and take up fulltime movement till reservations to dalits were implemented in the private sector.”

He said that Arya Vysyas, who possess 46 per cent of nation’s assets, should give at least 5 per cent of what they donate to BJP and TRS as election fund. The T MASS will utilise this fund for the betterment of the farming community besides working towards stopping of farmers’ suicides, he added. “The likes of Ambanis, Adanis, Kirloskars and Goenkas hold the country’s entire trading, and heading them is Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a BC Komati (vysya), and BJP national president Amit Shah, an Arya Vysya Komati,” Ilaiah said.

Stating that he would tour the country to bring awareness among the distressed sections, Ilaiah said that he is not, who buckles under the pressure of the ruling class.

Launching a tirade against the TRS leaders, he alleged that Mahabubnagar MLA Srinivas Goud has been targeting him so that he could get money from Arya Vaisyas. “Majority of the soldiers are from SC, ST and other BC communities,” he pointed out, demanding the Vysyas to provide employment to the kin of those, who laid down their lives for the nation, in their business establishments.

Ilaiah urged the Left Party leaders of Andhra Pradesh – K Ramakrishna (CPI) and P Madhu (CPI-Marxist) to form Praja Sanghala Ikya Vedika on the lines of T MASS to work for the betterment of the dalits.
