Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has given a sneak peek into his broad frame work of his party’s policy – not picking up any quarrel with either of the chief ministers of the two Telugu-speaking states.
Kondagattu (Jagtial)/ Karimnagar/ Hyderabad: Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan has given a sneak peek into his broad frame work of his party’s policy – not picking up any quarrel with either of the chief ministers of the two Telugu-speaking states.
Pawan Kalyan, after taking blessings of Lord Anjaneya Swamy at Kondagattu in Jagityal district, said that he was coming into politics only to help the people out but not complicate the issues that are already hurting them. He has made it clear that he would contest the next elections in both the states but would not say how many seats in each state. It will depend on what kind of strength the party has in each area.
“I believe in constructive politics rather than pouncing on the opponent on every trivial issue, I want to understand the social problems by reaching out to the people across the two states of party workers,” Pawan Kalyan said. He said that beginning with the three-day ‘Karuvu Yatra’ in Anantapur district, he would meet those suffering from fluorosis
and kidney ailments in Prakasam district.
He revealed plans to open first party office in AP at Anantapur during his tour. Pawan Kalyan said that during the next two days he will be closeted with the party activists to ponder over the local issues and how they would be dealt with in the future.
“As of now, the focus is on AP where we have umpteen number of issues,” he said, stating that people’s problems in the new state of Telangana would be taken into only after discussing them with the experts. Earlier, he had a rousing welcome in Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy temple.
He arrived at the temple at around 1.40 pm and performed puja. He donated Rs 11 lakh for development of the temple. Referring to his hairbreadth escape from the clutches of death in 2009, the actor-turned-politician said that he wouldn’t have been living without Lord Anjaneya Swamy’s blessings and that drove him to start his yatra, christened as ‘Chalore Chalore Chal’ from Kondagattu.
Pawan Kalyan, who has been preparing for taking a headlong plunge into the active politics, said that after his Telangana tour, he would visit Anantapur on January 27 which will herald the beginning of his political yatra on Andhra Pradesh soil. Having made his intention clear that he would not pick up any quarrel with either of the chief ministers of the two Telugu-speaking states, the question that arises now is for whose benefit is he coming into the midst of the people.
For quite a long time, the buzz in political circles has been that Pawan Kalyan is acting at AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s bidding to help in dividing the voters who are perceived to be with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Kapus, who are about 25 per cent of the population of the AP state, by nature do not have the habit of voting for the same party twice, it is expected that they might support Jagan Mohan Reddy in 2019 election, they have voted for the TDP in 2014, feeling aggrieved that Chiranjeevi, whom they had supported in 2009 merged his party in the Congress.
As Kapu movement too had picked up in the state spearheaded by patriarch Mudragada Padmanabham, Pawan Kalyan is understood to be weaning away Kapus who are either with Jagan Mohan Reddy or rallying behind Padmnabham so that their votes get divided, thus helping the TDP romp home.
Pawan Kalyan had already addressed several meetings in AP but most of them so timed just a few days ahead of Mudrgada Padmanabham’s agitations or in places where Kapus are substantial in number. The BJP has not taken kindly to Pawan Kalyan's yatras in both the states. Describing Jana Sena as four-year-old under construction project, BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao said it was the B-team of the TRS.
It is quite evident why KCR and his government who do not allow any leader or any party to reach out to the masses in this state, was allowing Pawan Kalyan’s yatra. This smack of a deal between the two. People of Telangana do not suffer from memory loss and understand that Pawan Kalyan was dead against Telangana formation and has even abused those who fought and died for the separate statehood.
His package politics in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be rejected by people. "Jana Sena is bereft of ideology, leaders, cadre and sincerity. Pawan Kalyan who kept promising the people of Andhra Pradesh that he will be a questioner, has clearly turned into a full-time eulogiser of both the chief ministers," he said.
He said that the CMs are plotting to utilise the services of this “election season politician” to divide their anti-establishment vote. What’s quite funny about Pawan Kalyan is that, he brags that he is a follower of Periyar Rama Swamy of Dravidian Movement, but he uses Hindi slogan for his first political Yatra from Telangana - Chalore Chalore Chal. It exposes the man’s opportunism to simply use North & South divide for political outcomes with zero sincerity towards language or regional discrimination issue.
BJP believes that Pawan Kalyan’s style of politics will be rejected by Telangana people. He neither has sincerity to serve people nor any sense of responsibility, especially towards the people of Telangana. His movie Jana Sena is a flop show, even before it’s released.
