CITU demands hike in salaries for contract workers

Kothagudem: CITU State vice president Y Krishnaiah demanded the Singareni Colliries Company Limited management to hike the contract workers’ salaries immediately.
A meeting was conducted with the workers of the union in the coal town on Friday. Addressing the union workers, Krishnaiah demanded the management to pay the salaries of the contract workers as per the agreement with the Coal India. He called upon the workers to be ready to fight for the contract workers.
The union will stage protest at the general managers’ offices to press upon the management to sanction salaries to the contract workers as per the agreement. He also said gave the details of agreement at the meeting. Union leaders G Mohan Rao, K Prakesh, Ramdas, Ravi, BalaKrishna, Praveen and others attended the meeting.
