LB Nagar: Caretaker minister KT Rama Rao managed to convince the reluctant corporators and leaders of TRS party, who rejected the candidature of party LB Nagar constituency in-charge Muddagauni Rammohan Goud for the same constituency in the forthcoming Assembly Elections. According party sources, Muddagauni approached KTR and informed him about rising opposition against his candidature in the pink party self. He reportedly submitted as many as seven corporators’ names, who fuelling dissent against him by discussing party leaders on various counts. According to party sources, leaders who failed to get the ticket are behind those dissent corporators. They held a meeting against Rammohan Goud and made lengthy discussions on how to defeat him in the elections.

After knowing all the latest developments in the key constituency of the party, KTR called 11 corporators along with Rammohan Goud to Pragathi Bhavan on Tuesday. Malkajgiri MP Ch Malla Reddy also joined the meeting presided by the caretaker minister. KTR patiently listened the corporators’ opinion on Goud’s candidature. They showed various instances in support of their opposition to Party’s LB Nagar candidate.

According to highly reliable sources, KTR informed them that party chief KCR himself decided the candidates and categorically said that everyone in the party should abide by the decision. He instructed them to strive hard for Rammohan Goud’s victory in the constituency. The corporators without any second thought were made to toe the official line. According to party sources, corporators Sama Ramana Reddy, Sama Tirumala Reddy, Rajeshekar Reddy, Bhavani Praveen, Ramavath Padma Naik, Sagar Reddy among those who opposed Rammohan Goud’s candidature.
