Dasu Suresh made BC welfare body secretary

Basheerbagh: National BC Welfare Association president R Krishnaiah has appointed Dasu Suresh, president of Weavers Development Federation (WDF), as general secretary of Telangana BC Welfare Association. An advocate of BC rights from his student days, Dasu Suresh had participated in many BC movements as student leader and also fought for the welfare of weaker and backward sections of the people.

Padmashali, a weaving community, and other BC associations have expressed their happiness over his appointment. Thanking the national president for the opportunity, Suresh said that they have been working hard to put pressure on various political parties in Telangana to allocate 50 per cent of their party tickets to BCs in the upcoming elections. He promised that he would fulfill the responsibilities laid on him. Krishnaiah demanded that BCs should get 50 per cent of the seats. BC association president Sathyanarayana, N Venkatesh, Bhadra, representatives of BC associations M Ranadeer, P Upender, D Rajeshwar, N Shivkrishna, B Urmila, Vijay and others were present on the occasion.
