Rein Bazar: In view of the upcoming Assembly elections and towards creating peaceful atmosphere, cordon and search operations were conducted at Rein Bazar police station limits in Mirchowk division on Sunday.The operation was conducted under the supervision of DCP, South Zone, Amber Kishore Jha. 120 police personnel, along with additional DCP (South Zone) Syed Rafeeq and ACP Mirchowk Division, B Anand, Inspector, P Anjaneyulu and other staff, took part in the operation in Murtuza Nagar area. During the operation a total of 300 houses were checked, 56 bikes and 1 auto detained for verification without having valid documents. 4 suspects were taken into custody who were found to have contacts with criminals and 9 rowdy-sheeters were taken into custody and checked their activities.

‘Mission Chabutra’ held in Vattepally

‘Mission Chabutra’ operation was held in Mailardevpally police station limits in Vattepally area, under the supervision of DCP Shamshabad N Prakash Reddy and ACP Rajendranagar K Ashok Chakravarthy. 122 ‘Roadside Romeos’ who were found roaming on roads in late night hours were taken into custody. They were taken to a secluded place where they were counseled and later, they were asked to take oath in the presence of their parents. They were released after completion of the session and were cautioned to remain committed to the oath lest they get caught again.

Addressing the media after operation, DCP Prakash Reddy said that youngsters were getting addicted to bad habits such as alcohol, ganja smoking, gutka, inhaling hukkah and getting involved in street fights and other offences. He said that the police would not entertain any sort of criminal activities in the area and would take up the matter seriously in future. Parents welcomed the initiative by police and asked the police to continue with performing such operations to control anti-social activities.
